Starting at $55,000 per year

*This is an exempt position, all hours worked will be paid under the yearly wage

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A. Bachelor’s degree or work-related equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, experience with Sage desirable
  • Two (2) years of production control/scheduling; preferred in high-speed food/pharma/nutraceutical manufacturing environment.
  • Requires excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Flexible scheduling ability and sense of urgency to meet schedules.
  • Ability to prioritize and work with all departments professionally and effectively.
  • Requires a well-developed ability to read, write, and speak English in relation to topics of a complex or technical nature.
  • Experience with FDA/cGMP compliance is preferred.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for creating and maintaining production schedules for blending, encapsulation, and packaging. Maintain and improve scheduling, reporting and process. This is a manufacture-to-order environment: excellent skill is required in analyzing existing and projected orders, machine capacities, supplier capabilities, material nuances and project specific requirements to produce achievable and acceptable schedules for optimal manufacturing quality & efficiency. This position acts as a close advisor, especially to the manufacturing leadership.

  • Create and update Production Schedules in APS. Communicate impact to sales order delivery and to the master schedule.
  • Attend production meetings to accumulate status information for orders in process. Retrieve status information from various other sources including ERP system reports, emails, LE Report, etc.
  • Coordinate additional projects with Quality and Operations Management (i.e. cleaning validations, blending verifications, rework projects)
  • Assist Operations Management in analyzing and responding to schedule impacts caused by various unpredictable events (i.e. machine outages, supplier delays, and other changes).
  • Coordinate production planning and assist Director of Operations with labor requirements planning.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance/Engineering and Sanitation on planned and unplanned equipment downtime. Update APS and communicate impacts to stakeholders.
  • Work with quality team on Master Manufacturing Record (MMR) prioritization for production runs.
  • Work with quality team to develop and apply deviations to work orders for upcoming production runs.
  • Assist manufacturing in the troubleshooting of production problems; identifying products with machine difficulty or high defects.
  • Develop reports to meet needs and train coworkers to use them.
  • Supports, cooperates with, and participates in company-wide continuous improvement efforts which includes following all safety, health and environmental policies and procedures. Supports and cooperates in company-wide Quality Management effort.
  • Adheres to company and department policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to successfully pass all job-related tests and certifications required for working in a cGMP, quality environment including but not limited to inspections and GMP requirements to perform essential functions of the job. Must re-qualify every year on all job-related tests and certifications as job or qualifications require.
