$25 - $30 per hour

*$52,000 - $62,400 per year*

*yearly rates vary per hours worked

Monday – Friday, 1pm – 9pm

Qualifications

  • BS in Microbiology, Food Science, Biology, Chemistry or related science preferred.
  • OR 1 yr laboratory experience and/or in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience with LIS or MS Office.
  • Aseptic technique, serial dilutions and good documentation practice.
  • Colony count and media preparation.

Job Summary

Sample preparation and performance of routine laboratory testing with the aid of laboratory equipments, follows standard operating procedures and policies, adheres to good documentation practices and quality control activities.

  • Data entry and maintenance of sample logs and notebooks.
  • Sample preparation including weighing, ph adjustment and serial dilutions.
  • Equipment maintenance, calibration, temperature monitoring and quality control.
  • Analyze samples according to standard operating policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to HWP safety policies and good laboratory practices.
  • Microbial culture, colony count and media preparation.
  • Results reading, verification and report writing.
  • Participate in training new staff.
  • Inventory of reagents and supplies.
  • Ability to be at the physical location of the job at the designated shift assigned.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Must be able to successfully pass all job-related tests and certifications required for working in a cGMP, quality environment including but not limited to: inspections and GMP requirements to perform essential functions of the job. Must re-qualify every year on all job-related tests and certifications as job or qualifications require.
