PAY
$90 - $105k per year

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in occupational safety or related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in plan EHS program
- Experience with EHS compliance auditing or inspections
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; advanced PowerPoint and Excel a plus
SUMMARY
The EHS project Manager leads implementation of EHS programs as well as maintain and drive continuous improvement for existing programs. This includes conducting audits and evaluations to confirm regulatory and corporate compliance as well as engaging with all personnel to cultivate a strong safety culture.
The EHS Project manager will be based on site in the Clackamas facility. Some occasional travelling may be required to support the Powder Pure facility (The Dalles, Oregon)
- Develop strategies for industrial hygiene exposure assessment and implement programs to control occupational exposures including noise, respirable dust, enzyme exposure, and ergonomics.
- Manage contractor prequalification, on-boarding, training, and inspection program to ensure contractor compliance to IFF EHS requirements. Actively participate in capital project design reviews to ensure proper EHS considerations during design, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Drive and administer the site permit to work program including among others lock out tag out, line break, confined space etc..
- Drive and administer hazard communication related to raw material and chemicals utilized on site
- Drive and administer the machine guarding program
- Ensure site follows all environmental regulatory requirements and complies with permits including but not limited to air emissions, waste management, spill prevention & control, groundwater protection, and stormwater management.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities within the EHS space to increase employe engagement, improve safety controls, or streamline inefficient or ineffective safety and environmental programs
- Support EHS manager in other areas as required
- Must be able to successfully pass all job-related tests and certifications required for working in a cGMP, quality environment including but not limited to: inspections and GMP requirements to perform essential functions of the job. Must re-qualify every year on all job-related tests and certifications as job or qualifications require.
